Long before there was a business, a bottle, or a pig wearing a crown, there was a homemade BBQ sauce recipe created by Amber's mom. A recipe made with love, shared with family, and passed down to the next generation. We're Pat and Amber Garry, the husband-and-wife team behind Pook's BBQ. What started as a treasured family recipe has grown into something much bigger. We wanted to take something that meant so much to our family and turn it into something we could build together—not just for ourselves, but for our three kids, Taryn, Kolte, and Kash. Because to us, this isn't just about BBQ sauce. It's about family. It's about tradition. And it's about creating something worth passing down. We believe some of life's best memories are made around good food. Whether it's a backyard BBQ, a Sunday family dinner, or a gathering with friends at the lake or in the Boars Nest (our garage), great food has a way of bringing people together. And while we take our sauce seriously, we definitely don't take ourselves too seriously. That's where our little crew of characters comes in. From The Boss running the boardroom to The Secretary bringing the heat and The CFO delivering liquid gold, every bottle brings its own personality to the party. We're proud of our South Dakota roots, grateful for the recipe that started it all, and excited to turn a family favorite into something we can share with yours. Our hope is that someday our kids will look at Pook's BBQ and see more than a business.
